History
Independence revived private business in Lithuania, and with it the need for a new kind of accounting. Textbooks were scarce, and so were specialists who could run a company’s books from A to Z.
In 1991 we founded the School of Accountants and Auditors, one of the first centres for retraining and developing accounting professionals in Lithuania.
In 1993 we set up Buhalteris to create and distribute the working tools accountants needed: forms, registers and account books. Today the range covers more than 1,500 titles.
By the end of the 1990s thousands of small companies were operating in Lithuania, and many of them did not need a full-time accountant. So in 1996 we founded UAB „Audito konsultacinis centras“ to provide professional accounting and audit services to small and medium-sized businesses.

We review our own work continuously, apply internal controls and aim to be a firm clients can entrust their tasks to. Over thirty years we have earned many recommendations for timely, high-quality work.
Team
Our audit and accounting staff are highly qualified and all hold university degrees. We work with modern accounting software and information technology.
The company is led by its director, Ingrida Pūrienė, a certified auditor (certificate No. 000451). She is Vice President and long-serving former President of the Lithuanian Chamber of Auditors, and one of its honorary members, recognised for developing the audit profession in Lithuania.
Our specialists keep their qualifications current through professional training, as the Law on Audit requires.
